    I only have CS3, but i was able to use the direct selection tool, and select the shadow (raster object) and delete it.

    Enhancing Greyscale Photography for Digital Printing

    I've had great deals of success by started out with the RGB scan, and then converting it to LAB.... then using the Lightness Channel as my grayscale image. The idea is that you are trying to obtain a very crisp and high contrast image... My two cents...

    PDF imported in quark

    Hello... I know this can be frustrating... While this has been addressed in the newest release, QuarkXPress 8.02... however, Quark is aware of this issue. It only happens in 7.3 and above, so one work around, in this case, is to revert to version 7.2. Thanks!
