    Rendering intent

Look / Preflight for RGB graphic element in the incoming file. If there are such elements, you should convert to CMYK and flatten the artwork before sending it to the RIP. This way you will see all the problems in an early stage of the process.

    Setting up P7000 as a 6color printer

You have to tinker a lot to be able to do that in halftone mode. I tried it with EFI Fiery XF driving our Epson 7900 and 4900 printers, finally giving it up, totally frustrated. I had a bit more success with PerfectProof 4 some years ago. IMHO the whole thing depends on the granularity of ink...

    Transparency effects printing issues

IMHO one of the best written material about it is published at the source: https://www.pdfa.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/PDFX-in-a-Nutshell.pdf Another one can be found here: PDFX-ready Guideline - PDFX-ready

    Transparency effects printing issues

Yes, that's the actual behavior of AI. The Warning panels are about the SAVED file, they will lose most of the Illustrator proprietary functions. The open file does not get altered.

    Transparency effects printing issues

The quality gain is minimal. When you use PDF/X-4, your artwork isn't converted to some CMYK colorspace (eg. ISO Coated v2), it rather stays RGB. The conversion to CMYK happens in the DFE, and (assuming a proper job setup) it will use all of the device's gamut. Your artwork might be more...

Anybody using tFLOW or Callas PDF Toolbox

You bought the software without knowing pros/cons? Interesting strategy. Anyway, Callas pdfToolbox is a solid product, I've been using it for 10 years now. With each version it gets more and more intelligent, capable. It can solve most of your problems regarding anything PDF. On the other hand...

We've sold some of our equipment via Machineseeker.com, about 9 months ago. As others said, prepare for heavy bargaining.

    Following Guidelines

I guess the covid statistics are 'prettied up', but in a different way you've tried to imply. It tells the whole scam away, that the news are loud about the covid case counts. Why are the other (admittedly more serious) mediacal conditions are not counted the same way? We have to hear the covid...

    Following Guidelines

Problem is, that in my country the deaths actually lowered. We have a significantly lower number of dead people, than in previous years (comparing the same period of the year, of course). This phenomenon is so striking, that even the 'pro-pandemic' MSM portals had to admit it. Until this 'novel...

File Sharing / Storage / Sync

CrushFTP is a great and affordable solution, if you still want to use FTP these days. You can have as many shares as you like, you can send out time-limited, encrypted links which point to defined assets on your server. You only need an oldish PC or a minimally specced VM to run it. A free...

100,000 COVID cases like the one below: https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/fox-35-investigates-questions-raised-after-fatal-motorcycle-crash-listed-as-covid-19-death Authorities are curiously diligent to count each and every death as a COVID case. Interesting enough, from March 2020 we don't hear...

No, I don't have any medical conditions. Repeated blood test prove that, on top of that I have three negative COVID tests from the last three weeks. My physical condition is excellent, I can walk, run & ride a bike for dozens of miles without any problems. People supposed to breathe fresh air...

    Following Guidelines

For me, wearing a mask for more than five minutes is a pain. After a short period when I feel some kind of weariness, I start to feel myself dizzy, and at around 15 minutes into wearing it's a vertigo. How am I supposed to live like this? A line in the local grocery shop's cashier takes ten...

    Rounded corner spines perfect binding

You need to use a much sharper knife for the rounding - like a razor. Apart that, try to use better quality paper for the cover. What you try to achieve is very rare requirement, so I think you're mostly on "uncharted waters". Good luck!

    Following Guidelines

Since the virus is so much smaller than the minuscule holes on the mask, the guidelines can be considered a misdirection. On the other hand, it's very interesting that other proven protective measures are never promoted. I mean eating healthy food, pumping up your immune system and doing some...

    Fiery Color Question

Fiery settings on the 700i must be the reason. You have to carefully compare the settings (and all other, color-related aspects) of the DFEs driving the 550/560 and the 700i. In our practice the most common error is that the document has images in some high volume RGB color space (profiles are...
