    Wrinkling on 100lb gloss text

Then I would lean toward heat, perhaps excessive, combined with the crappy paper they have been delivering that last few years. I really have to crank magnification to compensate for shrinkage. I don't get wrinkles or creasing with the belt fuser on the Ricoh.

    Wrinkling on 100lb gloss text

What is the composition of the rich black? You can get too much toner on the sheet. When the first side fuses it shrinks and pulls the sheet into a slight pucker, then when it goes through the fuser on the second side it creases. I never go above 200%. 40-30-30-100

    Imprinting preprinted sheet on v700

I'm sure it's near the lead end. Don't remember which side it uses for registration, though I think it was the non-op side. It was usually a solid with straight edge. Even a 3/4" square could do it if in the right spot. Do you have a media option for preprinted? That can alter the sensitivity...

    Imprinting preprinted sheet on v700

I had a similar issue on a Konica. It's usually one particular element that it sees. I could often get around it by running the job 180 so it's looking at a different area on the sheet.

    Proof disclaimers

We removed #2. It's either approved and we print, or it's not approved and they see another proof.

Do you use a print shop management software?

Nothing out there really fit our needs. We wanted to work the way we have always worked, but automate it. We built our own - php, mysql, and .fdf to generate Acrobat forms. Basic but does precisely what we need and we can tweak at any time. Linear view for each department or 2 week calendar view...

    Ricoh C7100's vs C7200's

I wouldn't go 7100 unless you can get a GreenLine machine. 7200 is much better internally. I think if I had a C7200x with 5th color, I would put in silver and leave it. You can do a rainbow of metallic colors by putting silver down and overprinting CMY, including multiple golds. I see more value...

Riso Comcolor GD 7330 aftermarket ink..worth it or not?

Both cartridges contain 1000 ml of ink. So, it boils down to who is giving the most accurate and honest estimate of ink yield. I ask any users of OEM ComColor ink if they average 108k.

    It’s Still About Making Money

I've been too busy to think about this much. Summer has finally presented a break. Customers: Dedicated buyers are smarter as far as digital print capabilities and deficiencies, but overall I think they are spread thin with multiple media and probably less knowledgeable on each facet. I think...

    Ricoh C7100 Banding Pattern ca. 17,5mm (ca. 0.7in) ???

That's why I say that bearing issues can produce lines that don't match a roller diameter. It's the bind-release action that causes the lines. It is usually divisible from the roller diameter - half, third, quarter, etc.

    Ricoh C7100 Banding Pattern ca. 17,5mm (ca. 0.7in) ???

The charge roller and the charge unit are two separate components?

    Ricoh C7100 Banding Pattern ca. 17,5mm (ca. 0.7in) ???

Hmm. Generally it is the back (gear side) that is stronger. However, it's still possible that there is a mechanical issue with the front, or it's just tricking us. Not knowing the specifics of that particular machine, it's difficult to advise precisely. I would remove and check carefully front...

    Ricoh C7100 Banding Pattern ca. 17,5mm (ca. 0.7in) ???

I have seen a similar issue on another machine, not a Ricoh. The developer housing had to be changed because it was worn on the gear side allowing movement of the roller. There was something defective in one of the gears that caused the wear over time and eventually created the lines. Is it just...

    Absence of Just a Printer

I just heard from Dan, and he is crazy busy. He has a few shot, but no time for editing. A nice problem to have.

    Absence of Just a Printer

Let's hope he's just too darn busy to do a video. Or maybe he just doesn't have any fresh content that's worth making a video on. I quit youtube a long time ago when they changed all the requirements and quotas. I thought it pushed quantity over quality and I was right. I can't stand watching 30...

Looking for a good freight carrier to ship my Xerox Versant 180

A little late to the game, but I only trust MOE (Moving Office Equipment). Copiers are their specialty. Wrap and strap. All states. Insured for damage. 5 warehouse hubs. That said, for an auction, I would only list them for convenience of the buyer. Always let them arrange transportation.
