    OKI graphics printers

As mentioned in the thread you linked to, the oki’s are incredibly expensive to run. I have known people who’s machines have died completely through using compatible toners too so you can’t even cheap out on the toner reliably to bring costs down. It is definitely worth looking to see if you...

Small Quick Print Business Looking for MIS/MGMT Software

It absolutely amazes me that people still recommend Morning Flight. It has the most outdated, ridiculous user interface I've ever seen.

    Xerox C60 vs J75 vs V80

Thanks for the replies. @Lorenzo lab guy - Yeah I've been watching some videos of the adaptive colour kit and noticed the gold and silver is more of a glitter effect than a reflective finish, but the white and clear are also a nice choice to have. I'm looking at using the machine purely for...

    Xerox C60 vs J75 vs V80

I’m currently using our Konica C3070 for printing sheets of labels and have been looking for a relatively cheap machine to dedicate to labels. Originally looked at the Versant 80, I’ve just been offered a C60 with adaptive colour kit to enable it to print white, gold and silver. The C60 with the...

How does a Versant 80 compare to Konica C3070?

Thanks for this. The V80 I’ve looked at is a refurb unit at £6,000. Wouldn’t get a Konica anywhere near that price unfortunately :(

How does a Versant 80 compare to Konica C3070?

We are having a new first floor built and ideally wanted to move our label printing upstairs (I’ve also got a sheet fed label cutter and a memjet roll to roll label printer). The C3070 will be staying downstairs and I don’t particularly want to have to print the labels downstairs and then take...

How does a Versant 80 compare to Konica C3070?

We currently have a Konica C3070 and are looking for a second machine specifically for sticker sheets. We have tested our sticker sheets on our Konica C458 office machine and one of the papers (a compostable paper) doesn’t like the C458 resulting in the toner rubbing off. I can’t afford another...

Does anyone use a Konica MFP for light production?

Thanks for that. I just saw you recently upgraded to the C4070. Congrats. We are having a continuous problem with our c3070 at the moment where since the konica engineer replaced the belt and rollers on our fuser the fuser isn’t warming up properly so unless we make sure the printer is at...

Does anyone use a Konica MFP for light production?

We currently have a Konica C3080 as our production press but are moving into printing sticker sheets which we ideally need a second printer for. Not wanting to go down the route of a second ‘production’ grade machine I decided to try our Konica C458 that’s in our office but on the Matt sticker...

    Inkjet vs toner for stickers?

Our registration marks are all 12.5mm and we've not had any issues. The guidance says that the 12.5mm is from the edge of the sheet to the middle of the circle so that what we have gone by. Easiest way to sync your mac folders to a pc is either something like Dropbox, or a NAS/Server system. We...

    Inkjet vs toner for stickers?

hmm I've not actually tried to read the qr codes yet. Maybe I should give it a try. Yes, I have to say, the user guide, is extremely lacking and you do need to utilise support but the support is very good and thorough.

    Inkjet vs toner for stickers?

So, finally managed to get our LC600 up and running this week, and what can I say? I needed to contact support when setting it up as I couldn't get it to actually read the reg marks but they were very swift to answer (within an hour or so) and sent plenty of help. I now have the cutter working...

    Inkjet vs toner for stickers?

That model is based on the Graphtec ce6000 which is an old machine now. Still very capable but the reason we went for the LC600 instead was the barcode function so we could load multiple sheets of different jobs and the barcode would tell the machine how to cut it.

    Inkjet vs toner for stickers?

Sorry Lee, I have only just seen this so you may have bit the bullet already. Unfortunately, our LC600 is still sitting in its crate. I actually agonised between buying the LC600 and the Afinia L801. In the end we bought both (well we went for the VIPColor VP700 instead of the Afinia but the...

    Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4080 / C4070 / C4065

I was talking to a Konica engineer the other day and all it seems to be is a very slight upgrade over the 3070 with the addition of an optional module to measure the paper type.

    Inkjet vs toner for stickers?

Not too far off the U.K. price. First quote was £3499+vat. We asked for a discount and got offered £3199+vat. I counter offered £3000+vat and they throw in two packs of the SRA3 sticker paper and free delivery and the accepted. We did also end up buying the stand on top but don’t know if we will...

Pay Per Click vs Pay Per Visit

Your cost per click isn’t JUST paying for potential repairs though, it’s paying for your consumables too. Not just toners, but the drums/developers, coronas, fuser, etc, it all adds up. Having said that, we have a Konica C3070 and I absolutely love the machine but I wouldn’t run it without a...

    Xerox Versant 2100 opinions?

We don't tend to do anything huge job wise if I'm honest, so it would be more a case of the printer not working at the start of the job (like we had an issue the other day that each time we tried to print more than a single page, the printer tripped a fuse inside and displayed a 'call an...
