RESOLVED- Xerox 700i Digital Color Press- Poor print quality

More like the voltage on the BTR. Humidity affects static and its ability to pull toner onto the sheet or IBT.

    Ricoh C7200e vs Versant 4100

When I looked at the Ricoh samples I was unimpressed. It was not better then our V3100 quality wise, banding etc. On the other hand I did not have the ability to see what the drums 2nd BTR etc. part usage was or try different screens etc. Xerox made me a great offer on the Iridesse with FS-400...

Toner / colordrum issue xerox versant

I hate to see this is still going on and by the sounds of it, it has only gotten worse. This is the main reason I dumped our 3100. I was constantly having to change drums and developer housing were just about as bad. The Iridesse is night and day difference and if the volume stays up is less...

    KM AccurioPress C83hc

I did get some actual prints from the C83hc on some of my files a couple of months ago. Yes gamut wise it was impressive but I don't know what the CM settings were nor was I able to calibrate and profile my stock so it is possible it could have been better. Down side was it was only rated at...

Static build up within machine causing registration movement

Try taping some uncoated stock somewhere in the paper path that won't be seen by a sensor. Look to see if you can find a spot in the duplexing path.

Printing 13x26 Duplex on Xerox Versant 3100

No you can't, only one side at a time. Not sure if the 4100 can but the Iridesse can.

    Iridesse and Mixed Media Question

Figured it out. On the Iridesse if the fuser temperature adjustment is set to something other than 0 it will force the fuser to go to that temperature which results in the delay with mixed media.

    Iridesse and Mixed Media Question

I know all that as we ran Versants before so I am wonder about what others running the Iridesse are finding going from heavy main to light mixed.

    Iridesse and Mixed Media Question

It appears to me if main jobs is lighter weight paper and mixed cover is heavier stock that printing will have no pauses if the mixed media settings are correct. For me this works fine with no pauses. BUT, if main stock is heavy stock 216gsm and a insert like a 90gsm order blank in a calendar...

Is anybody out there running the Konica Minolta’s C83hc?

Saw some proof off the C83HC. I was surprised at the smoothness and lack of banding. The high gamut I was expecting and might be a good fit for our calendar production. Just how is Minolta on color consistency, registration and durability these days?

Correct way to perform calibrations? (Xerox V180 + EFI Fiery + CWS)

Why are you not making your own profile. That way everything can be done after making sure your machine is setup correctly in regards to drum quality and uniform density. Only then start the Calibration G7 process and then proceed to the profile making on the specific paper you want to use. And...
