    Acrobat DC - PAINfully SLOW!

I am on a MacPro with 32 gig of ram and SSD drives. Latest Sierra I produce digital PDFs all day long that are roughly 300-500 pages and around 50 megs each. Viewing these has been a PAIN for over 18 months now. Does not matter if I do a clean install of El Capitan / Sierra / C-64 load *8 /...

Matt - I am not finding where to buy one or how much? Whoops. Found it. Sorry

    Mac Server - NAS?

What does this do to your fonts? I have fought a PC server for years. Used to be the forks on the fonts. Since I use UTS, I really do not need to save the fonts on the server anyway. However, seems like we had modification date issues of some sort back in the day?

    Mac Server - NAS?

This is what we use! Can I ask - what OS are you on? Are you AFP to the QNAP? We "lose" folders that cannot be found until we get on a PC with SMB and copy them and make them visible again. That is just one small part of what we are going through

Ah - the good old days!

    Mac Server - NAS?

This might be in the wrong category. We are DYING here! Our Mac Nas is a pice of #$%#. It is 12 terrabyte, but talking with AFP is the pits! Folders get created and can be seen on an SMB share, but suddenly, without any warning, go invisible to the Macs! I have even tried connecting SMB from my...

    EQUIOS vs Xmf

I have been on Equios for 20 months now I believe? I had been on Trueflow since 2003. We created a pretty slick workflow that is saving us a ton of time. We change presses a lot from a 24 up on a Sanden to a 12 up on a VIP to a 12 up on a Hedielberg, etc. We now create a workflow in the...

    Change size of PDF

Pitstop V13.1 Have a pdf going in at 11.5 inches. Want to add .5 to the bottom. Really would not care if it just split the difference. Then, have to crop the pdf AFTER the addition. Pretty sure this will involve just changing my crop and or trim box and then doing a crop? ANY help appreciated.

    Pitstop excess colors

Can I delete spot colors that are no longer being used? Imagine I have spots A, B, C. I run an EAL called "B" that selects A, B, C, then does a NOT on B. Now, it deletes the colors. However, even after save they remain in the output preview Sorry. I could not figure out how to delete the other...

Does Quark actually do this better than INDD??

MWC - we do that all the time. Looking for a better solution in INDD

Does Quark actually do this better than INDD??

Ever gotten in a 17 x 11 spread that the customer did you the tremendous "favor" of putting page 1 on the left and page 3 on the right? You have to run it through manufacturing as a right angle fold slit nest - so you need page 4 on the left and 1 on the right. To accomplish this, you really...

    Scripting Acrobat

Stephen - we found a solution for this. Pitstop does have a way to select content on a layer. We told it to look for layer X, then select everything NOT on layer X, then the same with layer Y, threw in a couple of "ands", told it to delete what was left - then delete empty layers (important) Voila!

    Pitstop acrobat layers

The issue is this. We want one pdf that is ready for 26 vendors. (Example) Very simple EAL that will take the same PDF for vendor Q and vendor J - and give them exactly what they want. Start off at 17 x 11. Original die from customer is not what all other vendors use. Also, vendors have...
