I'm afraid I'm a failure. This was 3 Photoshop layers.

No maybe about it—there is an error. More than an error. I didn't keep it. I just made 2 layers and applied the Multiply effect to the top one. Tried a few other things . . . nothing came close to an illusion. Have you done it?

Could it be there's more socery at play here? I can't recreate the effect.

Maybe if you uploaded it as a .psd with layers intact ;)

5.5 x 8.5 inches would likely be reasonably close. It's 1/2 our standard letter size of 8.5 x 11 inches. A little narrower than your 148mm. But things can be trimmed to size. There's loads of printers in Toronto. What you have sounds like basically a copy job, assuming it would be small...
