    Xerox solid ink warning

This is crazy. We have a Colorqube 9202 and some of the smaller desktop machines, 8860s. They are very cheap to run, the quality is pretty good, but NOT laser quality, and the wax is fairly durable. We did find that some stuff we printed 10 years ago had lost almost all of it's color, so don't...

    Scratch-off printing.

People didn't seem to be very helpful. My father said our shop had printed scratch off back in the 70s, but couldn't remember much of the details. We ended up using screen scratch off ink and printing it with letterpress. As it was a short run job, we ran it digitally with clear toner under the...

    Ricoh 7210x white spots...

the 1st BTR rollers were well past their life and that was what was causing the problem. The service guy said they were supposed to keep an eye on it, but it got overlooked for some reason.

    Ricoh 7210x white spots...

Room humidity for both machines is 40% and 68 degrees. The machine is question runs all coated papers, while the 7200s runs mostly un-coated. The spots on the 7210x occur on all types and weights of paper.

    Ricoh 7210x white spots...

Recently we have been having issues with our 7210x leaving white spots in solids and halftones similar to a press hicky, but without the solid spot in the center. The shapes are usually oval and at all different angles. Giving the drum to belt transfer setting a negative number of about 6 seems...

Adobe Ending Support For Type 1 Fonts...

We have a few hundred Linotype Type 1 fonts. After doing some Google searches, I can't find any info on them offering any type of free or paid upgrade options. I had read that simply converting, wasn't optimal and could cause undesirable results.

    Ricoh consumable shortages?

We have a couple 72xx machines and supplies haven't wavered the past few years. Everything is good.

Xerox OHCF Envelope Printing (Versant 180)

On our semi-retired 2100, we always use the top bypass tray. We run primarily envelopes on that machine as it isn't under contract anymore. We run thousands between jams, but you definitely don't want envelopes that are too flimsy. We had some linen envelopes that were the wrong grain and it was...

    Operating Without Supplies Contract...

Just like new cars. We always buy the Ford Extended warranty, which is around $1,800 and covers everything to 100,000 miles. With all the gadgets and tech, you can eat up more than that in just a service or two. Our old V2100 is out of contract now. We don't use it that much, but the supplies...

    Operating Without Supplies Contract...

I have watched his channel. He just seems like an average hard working guy, but after watching more videos I am surprised at his resourcefulness. He doesn't hesitate to rip into equipment and start doing repairs. All I would be thinking, is what if I can't get my work out tomorrow and lose my...

    Operating Without Supplies Contract...

I know a lot of people will buy a lightly used machine for next to nothing and just buy the supplies themselves. We have always been under contract, but it makes me wonder if not having a click contract makes sense. It appears with the prices of toner, that the click charge contract would be...

    Aqueous Banner Materials

I agree. We switched to Solvent, but the LexJet Toughcoat was good stuff.

    Ensuring Customer Loyalty

Do that ten times then miss an unreasonable due date once and that is all they care about. What have you done for me lately.

    Printograph Experience

It appeared that it may not be. The magenta dots look awfully large. More than just ink run too heavy.

They run them flat and then convert them.

    Printograph Experience

We have used Printograph for orders that didn't make sense to do in-house in the past and have always been happy with the quality, though sometimes not the speed. I ordered an envelope the other day for an out of state client and had it drop shipped. It was a simple return address with a PMS 109...

Can I put HDD from ex2100 into an ex80?

You would probably need to format it and do a fresh install of the software. Might want to just buy a new HD and install on that.

    Help with Roller from GTO52

Yeah. That is the water form roller. The rubber at the edge rides on the plate bearer.

    Ricoh C7200e vs Versant 4100

What would you like to know? I have posted a thread on here comparing the differences. We switched from a V2100 to a couple of Ricohs.
