i know hostmann inks made in india are really bad, they don't dry well, and require a lot of powder... tested different series from them(resista, impresseion, rapida, surprise)

Are you sure it was AQ coated and not Varnished? I am questioning because in one of the emails of flint's support they mentioned that AQ coating help resolve the problem.

they only noticed it after it was packed in boxes to be shipped... it felt like the heat was being generated inside the boxes, and it was increasing.

The paper is something generic that we don't know the brand off... possibly the first time we use it.

i always try to use the best, but in this case even the best is not compatible... glad no damages or injuries occurred.

The press has an IR dryer but it was not used on this job... PS: on a side note the Total are coverage was high...

we've used the combination before on thicker paper (120gsm vs this job 80 gsm) both uncoated. and we also used it on a coated 115 gsm paper, and we didn't have this issue...

I feel it's a chemical issue. As support is not available, I am considering switching to other suppliers for ink and varnishes.
