    I also do design work for the company I do prepress work for and Joe, you are completely right. I know what I make on an hourly basis and I know what the company charges for my design time and let's just say that they're paying me about a third of what they charge the client.

    and apparently, I'm quite the bargain as no one has any problem paying it. Also, a degree is all in the eyes of the beholder. I know of people with a 4 year degree in design and couldn't design a simple logo or letterhead.

    Are you running it through any trapping software? or is it a one color job? sometimes trapping software screws things up. Also, are you exporting out of InDesign? If so, check your transparency flattener and make sure it's set to high resolution.

    More than likely what you are looking at is the screen dots of the cyan looking funny in areas due to the screen angle that was used.     The only advice I can give in that case is to be very careful selecting objects. Unfortunately, the way you're doing it is probably the only way to do it. Sorry there's not an easier answer, but sometimes, the only way is the hard way.

    I don't think there is a group feature. You'll have to use the selection tool and shift select the items you want to move as a group then use the move tool to move them together.
