It also does "retrieving traps" and "trap zones". It's not noticeable on small files, but when I generate 5,000 to 10,000 page pdfs, it really slows down.

Maybe they mean that it's the same art front and back? So either way, as a W&T or a sheetwise, you'd only need one set of plates. The note just adds confusion if this is the case.

I use Planet Press. No problems here. I hear that Fusion Pro is nice, but they already had PP when I took over our mailing department.

Agreed. Too much to maintain. We had an envelope printer that used one head and it was a nightmare. Streaking, smudging. Plus cleaning was a nightmare. We ended up going to a Xante laser envelope printer, but not sure if laser is an option for you.

Not a dumb idea, but could be a problem when trying to manage multiple clients with differing needs. Especially when getting into Ecommerce and online shopping, mobile apps, etc. If the software you choose to work with doesn't fit what the client needs, you will either have to adapt and learn...

I use Planet Press and am pretty happy. I inherited this job from another and we already had PP. I heard Fusion Pro is awesome too.

Try a company that specializes in international mailings. They may be able to combine it with other mailings to get you a better rate. Atlas International Mail is one that comes to mind. I believe that all you have to do is address them and they will pick them up.
