How to stop/minimise pages falling out of a book

It showed this to my customer but unfortunately they don't like Wire-O-binding. They said "it looks like a document" !!!!!!

How to stop/minimise pages falling out of a book

I've never tried scoring & stitching synthetic paper before. Is it better than paper and is it robust enough to withstand multiple opening and closing each day. I'll order samples and give it a test.

How to stop/minimise pages falling out of a book

Thanks for this. This is exactly what I was thinking about as an alternative. If the text pages are torn, frayed or out of date at least they can be replaced with spares.

How to stop/minimise pages falling out of a book

I've digitally printed a 32 page A5 landscape wine menu book which has been Gloss laminated on the outer cover with 300gsm Cover and 170gsm Text which has been fold, stitch, trimmed. The book is put on a table at a hotel and the customer flicks through, reading the history of each drink. This...

    Duplo stitch cartridges

Ah!!!! I had this exact problem on my DBM-120 a couple of years ago and queried it with Duplo. When I asked if it was a known problem they said No!!!! I ended up spraying silicone spray into the cartridge and it helped for a bit.

    Jam code J8 - Duplo DBM-120 Bookletmaker

How many pages was the booklet? Does it have a gloss laminate cover which makes it slippery. Is it being gripped heavily enough to be pulled to the trimmer at the specified time allocated.

My engineer tried selling me a metal 2nd BTR Roller which he said works...but I'm on a service contract so why would I go down that route????? Below text is taken from the website below: NOTE: This type of roller was reported not to work for NCR (carbonless paper). A friendly tech clued us in...

Has anyone successfully bought Toner Foil from China (Aliexpress)

I've currently buying my toner foil (in the UK) from Vivid but bought a sample roll (1" core, 320mm wide) on ebay but the seller no longer exists. The ebay roll used completely different settings but it worked well and I'm wondering where I can find a supplier (32mm wide with a minimum of 100m...

Machine Identification Code ruining my prints.

Had exactly the same problem when trying to clear foil a couple of years ago. Even though it may be old, below is a link of a website which gave me the answer at the time: https://www.eff.org/pages/list-printers-which-do-or-do-not-display-tracking-dots

Versant 280 Splotchy/Mottled Color on Heavy Stock

I used to have a similar problem at our previous location. Next time this happens, try this little test which I used to use: Heat up the sheet by printing a tiny black dot on the page (outside of the print area) and then put the same sheet through again but this time with your CMYK image. I used...

Versant 280 Splotchy/Mottled Color on Heavy Stock

I use a V80 so I'm not sure what the equivalent setting is on the V280 but change the paper type setting to Embossed or Cast Coated at the heaviest paper weight.

    Konica vs Xerox?

Just to let you know, Xerox are discontinuing the Versant 80 at the end of 2024. I think this might make it harder to get parts/consumables

Advice please - flaking toner when guillotining a solid edge which is face down

This has been an ongoing problem for years which is why Xerox added the fly wheel. Slowing the machine down using the NVM method is what I do to eliminate the band lines for Cyan, Magenta and Yellow but I've been told by my Xerox engineers that there isn't a solution for eliminating the black...

Advice please - flaking toner when guillotining a solid edge which is face down

I've just tried putting a 305gsm Uncoated sheet with Solid Black through the guillotine and it's come out very clean. This now leads me to thinking that as mentioned by 'tngcas' and 'TJ Printer', there is too much give in between the glued sheets. I'm going to try printed the 2 sides on thinner...

Advice please - flaking toner when guillotining a solid edge which is face down

I actually ran this job in slow mode due to the solid blue leaving CMY lines and since you mentioned it, do you know of any solution to get rid of the black banding line.

Advice please - flaking toner when guillotining a solid edge which is face down

I've had a look and no it's not grain related. It looks the same on all 4 sides
