I can see from the samples that it's not the same as spot UV, but it is a nice effect. As I understand you can make multiple passes to build it up also. Can't say I would have use for white toner, based on my current clients and print runs, or neons either. Perhaps the 5th color isn't worth it...

I have 2 very old offset presses that need to retire, and there are no pressman in this area. Another shop and I have been looking for a long time. That's why we're going all digital now.

Thanks! We really don't need a slitter - but what makes the software easier on the 618? It seems to me the 646 can handle a more than the 618.

Thanks, that's a big help! My volume is a bit too high for the 5300. I was just looking into the Ricoh configurations, and frankly some of it is very confusing to me. :) Do you ever print magnetic substrates? I just realized both machines claim you can.

Hi Shawnd, Why would you prefer a separate piece of equipment for the booklet maker? I will have 2 Ricohs so I will be able to continue to print.
