Yes, JDF out. What we do is we print the JDF or Save the JDF to our job folder. This creates the marks folder there and puts that URL into the JDF. Then we drop the JDF to a hot folder and nexus knows where to get the pages and marks from. Works great.

People be warned, you will not be able to "trade up" to Odystar 4. You wont even be able to update to any versions because dongle transfer is not allowed for free. DOn't know what the price is to transfer licenses but it is not cheap. Best call Eskoartwork first so you arent wasting your money...

Actually you are half correct. In the past you would have to make a new build of the software at least once a year. It could be the same version. This was done to update the licensing. Now with esko's new license manager you do not have to do this.

You should give Hybrid Integration a call. No matter what system for workflow you decide on they can integrate it with your MIS / database etc... They are a middleware company. There expertise is making systems talk to each other. I know of 2 companies that have used them and are very happy...

Matt is correct. However I am reading that there are enough differences in the snow leopard frameworks that are causing some applications problems. Artpro 9 will give you problems with OSX 10.6 but Artpro 9.5 will work fine.
