    DPM2340 Can't Be Found

Mystery over, after a 2nd day of tearing my hair out (new SCSI cards etc) I plumped for reinstalling PRIP - it just did an upgrade re-install so managed to keep all the settings. Must've been corrupted but strange that it would manifest in not finding SCSI. Would still be interested to know if...

    DPM2340 Can't Be Found

I've had a DPM for several years now, it's been pretty much trouble free. It connects via SCSI to an XP machine (it originally came with an NT machine but I managed to get the software working on XP, minus some functions like temp monitoring). It's run fine on this for a couple of years, used it...

UV Coater with KM - Tec vs Duplo

Goalpdl - I hadn't, I'm reluctant to expand the search though. I was close to deciding on the Tec because there's so many positive reports (and there'd be a good support network for any queries I have), but then a Duplo became available (that I know a competitor uses to good effect...though I...

UV Coater with KM - Tec vs Duplo

I've been considering a coater for a while now and have narrowed it down to 2 machines, though they're a little different in spec. Just looking for thoughts/experiences. First up, we have the Tec XtraCoat Mini. I like that it's compact, I can buy new, it's tried & tested with KM, quick & easy...

Could any CREO users help me out? (KM6500)

I figured as much, with CW :( I've managed to get the virtual printers set up and installed (small niggle is it's over-riding the specified paper size) but don't seem to have the 'resubmit to' option on v2.1 - not sure if any other c6500 users can comment? I'm really regretting the Creo...

Could any CREO users help me out? (KM6500)

Thanks Nirupakah, very helpful, I'll see how I get on. Might sound crazy, but I'm presuming you can't install CW5 on a creo (probably looks for the fiery image board)?

Could any CREO users help me out? (KM6500)

I'm used to working on the Fiery, but now on the IC304 Creo (v2.1). I read so many thing about how great it is, but I'm finding everything a major battle compared to the Fiery! I've got quite a few niggling issues I was hoping someone could help with.... 1) Copy parameters? I do a lot of jobs...

    Heidelberg QM46 Circumferential Register Jammed

It's exceed the limit - I hadn't used it in a while and think it had been left at full adjustment...I then tried to adjust a bit more! I think I might have freed it now but it's looking like the push gear isn't connecting with the upper gear.

    Heidelberg QM46 Circumferential Register Jammed

I've managed to jam the registration shift on PU2 of the QM46 - could anyone advise on a way to free it up? I've had an engineer take a look but he's not that experienced on the QM, said he can't see any way to fix it without removing the whole head (big job he wouldn't take on!) but that maybe...

    General Creasing/Scoring question...

Thanks Fatboy, but that's not really practical for my use - don't need them to stay 100% shut, only 80% or so. Have passed on Kees' info, hopefully that will help.

Thanks very much Kees, that's really helpful, I'll pass it on.

    General Creasing/Scoring question...

I've had a supplier crease some heavy stock for me on a Heidelberg Cylinder but the crease doesn't allow the board to stay folded at all, it wants to spring open which isn't much use. They used a 2 point matrix, but are blaming the stock (415mic), saying there's no solution - think they tried a...

I've dropped you a PM to see if I can get hold of them - thanks Halmac!

Looking for Morgana Autocreaser 70820 Manual

Could anyone help me out - I've got an older Autocreaser and whilst PDFs for the newer models are online, I can't find any for this. The model is 70820 -it's the version without the separate mounted LCD screen, just the red LCD built into the frame/controls.

UV Coaters & KM (again) - Tec?

Yeah, if I was stateside it'd be a no-brainer, I wouldn't hesitate but supply, cost & service over here make it a lot trickier.

UV Coaters & KM (again) - Tec?

I'm running a C6500 and have been considering a coater for a while. I've read through any previous threads I could find - there's obviously a few options available that might manage with a lot of fiddling, but I want something that has 100% confidence, and consensus in the past seemed to be on...

What is the right 1 color press to "learn on"

I self-taught on a Ryobi 3200 - do yourself a favour, don't! It took years of pulling my hair out before I knew the ins-and-outs of running litho and I'm still learning. This isn't remotely like running a copier - it can be done, but without help, it's not likely to be productive.

    QM46 Dampening Adjustment issue

I really think the rollers are ok for now (had glazed & fatigued rollers on my old Ryobi, so know what they look like!), however, am still going to to a vinegar wash as suggested (will see how that water pan roller pans out, if you'll pardon the pun). Put a new blanket on and that's helped too...

    QM46 Dampening Adjustment issue

Thanks RGPW - the rubber is about 4 years old. I know it eventually breaks down but it's done less than 1 million impressions and still looks good, no glaze etc. I haven't done a calcium rinse - the water where we are is very soft and clean so doesn't really cause many of the problems you see in...
