We have mostly used Dupont DFM plates and are currently testing their DFR plates. The plates seem to hold a better dot but we have had some issues on press with plate skipping. Looking for input from anybody with any opinions or experience with the DFR. Thanks!

Here you go OSS. I was going to explain it but figured it would take more time to explain then to just build it quick. Vector build with pattern swatch and pattern fill applied. You may have to tweak colors but should at least put you in the right direction.

Or just create a pattern fill with whatever halftone you want to reproduce. Fill the borders with the pattern and you can leave your files at 300dpi.

You may want to check behind the printing head. We had a small piece of paper from a miscut sheet that stuck behind the head and gave us the same issue. We were able to grab it with a tweezers and pull it out and all was good.

Could be the save location. You don't say if you are saving locally or to a server. If you can save quickly to your desktop its the server. If not It is the file and I second the vector pints and effects theory.

We are unable to recreate on any of our workstations. Also using DP12.1.3 on AI CC. Does the ink manager lockup or illustrator crash? We apparently do not have this issue but are willing to help trouble shoot.

FYI found a solution. The server name and IP needed to be added to the host tables in terminal on the new macs. I made a video of the change if anyone hits a similar snag and needs to see how its done. Thanks again for the help guys!
