The HD Flexo is one of the few Esko products that we are really happy with. We are still using HD 1.0 and they are soon to be coming out with 3.0. If you have specific questions I can probably offer a little more insight.

In AE10 you can set the naming of the len files for output. I attached a screen shot of how ours is setup in one of our tickets. We are using the "short ink" naming which is the <slink> tag. I think I misunderstood your original issue. The ones we still see are say at the edge of a trap to a background color and you would see a small sliver that followed the trap. If you hide the trap you dont see it. Show and it is there again. What I think the issue you are having is a straight 1...

I believe we have seen the "slivers" you are talking about. We seen them on screen when checking tiff's in viewer but they do not end up imaging on the plate. Are yours showing up on the plate? Im assuming your an Esko workflow from your Packedge reference. What type of plating are you doing?

Is the text white and/or set to overprint? Acrobat Reader and Pro will view different unless you go to output preview in pro. Just a thought

One thing you may want to try is optimizing your 1-up AP file (object-file-optimize). This has worked for us in the past. It seems that optimizing helps Artpro reorganize the data in a file and speeds processing. Hope that helps.

You can use Z to zoom (either drag a box or just zoom), and V switches back to the arrow tool. Check your settings under Artpro - Prefrences - Key Bindings and the Tools tab. This should show you what it is set at now and you can change it to whatever you want.

Yes, put it to the end of the list in Artpro, on the 1-up AP file, before stepping. Then just treat the file like there was no black. Then when the file is stepped and ripped you will get an empty black sep. Then just delete it.
