    Konica Minolta 2250 Feedback

@jwheeler Great minds... was having the same conversation with our engineer yesterday, we dubbed it the 6272 :)

Konica c4080 vs RICOH 7200 series vs Canon IP C100100p

Since you're getting a DC-618, why do you need the digital press to do inline full bleed trimming? I'd definitely take the perfect binding offline, as it will be more economical on clicks and you're not tied to one engine.

    WHAT'S A GOOD DIGITAL PRESS

Depends on what works for your particular business model. There are upsides and downsides to both. FWIW, I’ve always been from the camp of buying outright and sweating the assets.

SYNAPS Synthetic Paper—Protection Against Bacteria & Viruses

Our local recycling plant gets jittery when they find laminated trims or wax coated paper wraps mixed in. I imagine this will be no different.

    WHAT'S A GOOD DIGITAL PRESS

one you can get as much toner as you need for, whenever you need it... one where there's no issues with drums... one where you can enjoy a good relationship and agreeable pricing throughout the term with the click provider... one where the service is responsive, knowledgeable and all round...

Thanks as always @jwheeler. It is a thing with the older driver, as it works on the 1100 driver which I installed an hour ago to test... although sadly the 1100 driver won't talk to the 951 (even a test page just hangs in 'data receiving' mode). I'll do a work around this time, this was a...

@jwheeler, not sure if you can help with this and what I'm doing wrong? In the Pro951 driver Page Settings tab, when selecting "insert blank sheet after page" and then setting the page number, a conflict is detected if the paper tray is set to anything other than PI Tray 1 or PI Tray 2 In other...

Die cutting machine for parking permits and possibly scoring

I don't know anything about accounting standards and policies t'other side of the pond, but you couldn't (legitimately) do that in the UK. Important here not to confuse depreciation with deferred taxation on capital allowances. By definition, depreciating the asset in one year would be stating...

Die cutting machine for parking permits and possibly scoring

In the case of the OP's current volume of 14,000 die cut permits per year, IMO the deciding factor on whether to consider bringing in house will be based on frequency and convenience. If the 14,000 permits is say one order per quarter for 3-4k permits, then outsourcing probably makes sense and...

Die cutting machine for parking permits and possibly scoring

It's not quite that simple though, is it? Assuming your asset depreciation on capital purchases is 25% reducing balance, If you spend $10,000 today, you'll see a $2,500k charge in this year's accounts + maybe a revenue charge if for example you need to run a new radial circuit to the machine...

Die cutting machine for parking permits and possibly scoring

Hi Kaylene and welcome to the forum. A digital die cutter will give you the greatest flexibility, with die cutting, kiss cutting and scoring capabilities. Look at the Vivid Veloblade and Duplo PFI-blade products. You will need to increase your budget though. Alternatively, a rotary die cutter...

    Xerox FTR versant 80

With the exception of a very few people (like 'JustaPrinter' Dan of YT fame, whose skillset and order book is fairly niche) I doubt, in the long run if anyone not running on click charge ever ends up better off. Especially when factoring in a sensible value for your own time.

I imagine there's an element of an 'insurance policy' in the field turn around charge (from X point of view)

Many thanks @jwheeler In your configuration, am I right in thinking the fusing temperature would be similar, both the C6085 and B/W 6136 using Simitri toner. Whereas on our older Pro951, the fusing temperature is likely to be higher than that the colour prints from the C4080 being PI'd were...
