No, never got it connected, been farming out plates.

Rampage 8.6 cannot write to server!?!?

I don't know what the deal is here. Even if I do get it working, all the rip and device profiles were lost with the hard drives that failed.

    Connecting with SMB

Rampage 8.6 cannot write to server!?!?

Administrator account is the only account on the rip. Also login as Administrator on the server.

Rampage 8.6 cannot write to server!?!?

Yes, restarted all machines and still get same error.

Rampage 8.6 cannot write to server!?!?

Yes, the only way I don't get an error is when I point the rip to the C drive of the rip, which of course is useless.

Rampage 8.6 cannot write to server!?!?

A client of mine running RAMpage 8.6 recently lost both hard drives on it's server (Windows NT). They have replaced the hard drives, re-installed Windows NT, created 2 shares, one named Ram_Vol (for Rampage preferences and RSI data) and one named Data_Vol, which contains the live prepress jobs...

Apogee 8 impose, Anybody using it?

I love Apogee Impose! Set up hot tickets and the automation takes over. I haven't used Preps since! Prepress 7 works great also, especially with native PDF transparency. Apogee has come along way since version 1, which was horrible from a RAMpage user's point of view!

    Chem-free Process-free Plates Again

I agree with this also. I'm speaking of the Aurora Pro which leaves no debris in the imagesetter. Supposedly, there can be slight residue using the Kodak plates due to the slower drum speed and higher laser intensity, but I'm not sure this is true.

    Chem-free Process-free Plates Again

Presstek uses a water rinse processor that removes everything before it hits the press. We did have debris from the Fuji's on the rollers, Kodak claims their plate does not, but I'm skeptical. The change from Fuji was not my decision but partly due to the lack of support due to Fuji's downsizing...

    Chem-free Process-free Plates Again

I've been using Fuji's Ecomax for about a year, currently trying the Kodak Thermal Direct and this week we'll be throwing on Presstek's plate. Downsides to the Kodak and Fuji are the inability to read the plate and possible debris in the ink, fountain solution, rollers, etc. Downside to the...

Temp to possible FT Prepress position in Pittsburgh, PA

I know this is a long shot, but here it goes! :-) I'm looking for an experienced prepress technician to fill in for 4 or so weeks during the summer to cover our vacationing employees. This could lead to full time for the right person! Experience in RamPage workflow and CTP preferred. If...

    PDFLib Error in Rampage

Try moving the PDF file out loose in your Jobs folder on the Rampage server, from there drag it into the Rampage client window.

    Rampage to Heidelberg

I've used both, and if I had to switch from Rampage/Preps to Heidelberg Meta Dimensions/SignaStation I'd drive off a bridge. To me Rampage is superior, especially when using the PDF trap engine. Meta's trapping is a pain in the @**!
