Can you drive AGFA CTP with RAMpage?

We have purchased a AGFA LDT85 CTP device. The model # is PT-R4300S. We do not have PrintDrive, which served as a tif catcher that drove it previously. We did have opportunity though to successfully test some screened tif (plate) files from RAMpage that output very well on the LDT85, but all we...

    EFI / Epson 7800

The computer (PC) that we used as our dedicated RIP just died, and we lost all info - not recoverable. We are needing to get back up asap, so I know that what I am asking is not the best solution, but a patch at least until things get caught up and we can re-calibrate. I still have the press...

Suggestions welcomed for new imposition proofer

We currently have a HP DesignJet 5000 (42" roll) with Doubleproof but have been experiencing multiple problems. Along with the fact that you cannot get good (or any) service for this setup, we will be looking at getting a new imposition proofer. What would you guys suggest for a new impo...

    Doubleproof and HP 5000

yes, before it worked fine - we could back up a #10 envelope file (9.5x4.125) width-wise. I have been through and checked/tried so many different settings i feel like i am just chasing my tail - when the answer is probably right in front of me.

    Doubleproof and HP 5000

only on small(er) images, like trying to backup a single page instead of an imposition - it leaves about 6 inches before it starts printing, but then trims immediately after the imaged area and then errors with a message of 'sheet too small'

    Doubleproof and HP 5000

Rampage, but we did not purchase the RPD option, so basically, Rampage just creates a tiff file and drops it in a hot folder for Doubleproof Manager RIP. FYI - nothing on the Rampage side has changed, so there must be some setting that i just have not figured out in Doubleproof Manager. thanks

    Doubleproof and HP 5000

the prepress department at our company was all hired into a 'working system' with a hp 5000 and doubleproof - we never checked or changed the settings and were just pretty happy that it just worked very well. now, the drive the doubleproof manager software was on crashed, and we are having to...

well, no solutions offered yet have worked. being as this problem occurs for ALL os x macs on the network, i would assume that the problem is not with the macs, but with the indigo press. can anyone help me troubleshoot possible connectivity issues on that end? thanks

Trouble connecting to HP Indigo presses from OS X

Not printing to the press - we send files to the rip folder or template folder. We are currently using smb but have also tried afp. I have not (yet) called HP about this. Was set up before I joined the company. We are not using a central file server but are sending files directly from our...

Trouble connecting to HP Indigo presses from OS X

Re: Trouble connecting to HP Indigo presses from OS X Operating latest version of OS X (10.5.4) on 3 macs (2 - Dual G5 Powermacs and 1 - Intel DuoCore iMac). We can connect via samba (SMB) using the Indigo presses IP addresses, but cannot connect via AFP using IP addresses. When viewing the...

Trouble connecting to HP Indigo presses from OS X

We have 2 HP Indigo presses (SF3050 & WS2000). Connecting to them via IP address is hit and miss - sometimes no problem, sometimes cannot connect at all. The workaround has been copying the files over the network to a mac running OS 9, which connects to the HP Indigo presses via AppleTalk, not...

Where can I get a good plate target?

We used to have a standard plate target, I believe it was either a pdf or tif file, with screens from .5% up to 99.5% (possibly even .1% to 99.9%). Anyway, we cannot find it anywhere and the 'higher-ups' are wanting us to test new plates, so if anyone can send me a link or file or point me in...
