Can you post a picture of what is happening? If I am understanding you correctly it sounds like you have a problem with the paper properties in the paper catalog. Check the gsm of your paper and make sure it is entered correctly along with the paper type.

What settings are you using for your pdf export?

Great poll Gordo. We have since the film days carried over to CTP used a curve to be linear then another on top of it for adjustment. I have always wondered what problems this might cause in a CTP workflow.

When was the last time your developers were changed and how many click do you have now? How is the machine placed with attention to climate control?

I think if you have 100 computers you can probably afford to upgrade a few if not all of them to CS5. And if you are paying that much for your upgrades I would recommend you call Adobe for Volume Licensing discounts.

What they don't realize is without that workstation their press will sit idle 8) Software is expensive but without it your press will not run.

We had a similar problem and were told that the processor needed to be cleaned and refilled. This is at around half to three quarters of our usual cycle. Hope Kodak works the problem out!
