Is there a way to have Pitstop search for a specific tint of a spot color and remap it to a renamed spot color? For example if I have a PDF with PANTONE 362 C at 10% remapped to a color named PANTONE 362 10.

You may need to start tracking remakes and specify where the error originated. Then you can categorize the errors and try to fix or improve on them. We have probably less than 1% remakes for our shop

We have all our Marks, Templates and Printers saved on the server and all our Macs look to the servers. We're using Preps 5.3 but I would think it would work the same.

I agree with Dabob, you should contact the customer and open a dialog with them. We have had customers that do the same and we have made color changes to the file so that our proof looks like thiers. We charge them of course.

The last I heard of Corel is that you could get a free copy if you paid for and upgrade to Quark. Well who wants an upgrade to Quark anyway. I haven't used Quark for years either.

Another solution would be to move your INDD file into the Links folder and Open and Save. Then you can move your INDD file where you like.

I have never tried the descreening options in Photoshop. I would think they would improve the output but cartoons sometimes have such a low screen LPI that it probably wont work. The copydot option is usually scanning film as bitmap images and merging into DCS2 format. The bitmap image doesn't...

Google descreen Photoshop and you will find a step by step fix. Or you could have the job scanned as copydot (which is bitmap image)
