Harlequin Resolution Settings and Dot Shape with Ryobi 3404 DI

Our file handling usually goes as follows: Customer supplied flattened PDFs of resolutions between 300 and 600 dpi are preflighted and sent to the RIP, which is currently set up to RIP at either 1270 dpi or 2540 dpi. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to ripping at the higher resolution? Or...

Ryobi 3404DI Registration Off between towers

We just recently bought and installed a used 3404DI press. After a few weeks of getting everything set up to print, we excitedly printed for the 1st time. Unfortunately, come to find out, the cyan and yellow are off from the magenta and black by 3 mm consistently. We have proven that the...

Newbie asks: Can we use each plate twice for low runs?

We very recently procured a Ryobi 3404DI. Originally we acquired it to take care of our longer runs instead of outsourcing. However much of our business is short run, short lived promo materials. I doubt we will EVER wear out the plate material to its rated 30,000 impressions. Upon reading that...

Because we are, in a little over a year. I'm curious what you've found...

Thinking of buying the Xerox 700

This is actually not true. If you save the page to be a black click as greyscale before combining, you will still need to click the box (under protected colors) "preserve black color". Then one page will click as color, and the other will click as black.

Toner supply dwindling from Xerox on the x700

We are in the US. Ordered yellow on the 21st. Still haven't seen it. 30-40 calls later, no date to expect it.

    Xerox 700

Attempts to do this have been futile at best. After an hour on the phone being passed around, we are told that never happens.

Toner supply dwindling from Xerox on the x700

We are not allowed to order until we are down to three. We dump out our own waste containers because we can never get them. We have to have our techs order things for us. They have a national back order on yellow right now. We are out and have not been able to order more.

Toner supply dwindling from Xerox on the x700

Anyone else having this same problem? We have consistently run out, with the products on backorder, over and over again for 6 months. Currently we ordered yellow on October 21st. Still on backorder and none being released. it seems that the situation would take at most, maybe a month to step up...

    Xerox 700

Toner supply Toner supply We have had consistent issues with Toner being on backorder and xerox not supplying us even close to the demand that we need. Be sure they have done nothing to improve this situation for close to 6 months. Can't print without it.

Using Paper Weight settings to Tweak speeds on x700

I have seen a lot of responses from what seem to be experienced techs on this board. So I decided to ask what may be a silly question to some, and very interesting to others. When you set up to print 100 lb gloss, the printer produces at a much faster rate than say, a 12pt cover stock. So what...
