    Fuji LH-PJ vs. Presstek Aeon

    Offset plates available

I might have to change from the plate I currently use as my most trusted dealer will no longer be allowed to carry the plate that I have been using, the Fuji FJ. We have a Fuji (Screen) PT-R8800 III platesetter feeding a pair of 40" Komori's. Can anyone tell me what other plates are still...

    Komori PDC-S 1 support

Has anyone had a good experience using a third party vendor to do scan head rebuilds on the Komori PDC-S 1 now that Komori is no longer supporting them? Like most of you, I'm not too keen on dropping upwards of $40,000 per press to upgrade from the 1 to the 2. Thanks in advance

    Roller replacement guidlines?

I'm trying to get some feedback from the folks in the industry on how often the rollers in a printing unit need to be replaced. If I listen to the operators, they want new rubber every 8 months. We only buy Bottcher rollers for our 40" Komoris. I'm thinking that with proper care, we can...

Peach colored discoloration of UV coated sheets

We are running 16 pt SBS on an Indigo 7500 which we then UV coat offline using a digital glueable gloss UV coating. My customer recently gave me back a few samples that has a light peach colored tint forming around all the cut edges of the item. Has anyone ever experienced anything of this nature?

    Clam shell die cutter speeds?

I am shopping around for an automatic clam shell die cutter and was wondering what kind of production speeds I can expect when running "normal" die cutting jobs. I see various machines with different cycle times but how fast can these things really go? thanks

    Flat bed die cutter

I'm shopping for a small flat bed die cutter; one that doesn't require the use of matrix. I've been looking at the Trim & Perf 600 from SCS. Does anyone have any feedback of that machine or any suggestions for a different one? thanks

    40" Press roller maintenance

We are having a debate within our shop on how often rollers in our various 40" Komori's should be re-set and/or replaced. Presses are all set up for AQ, no UV. We only use Bottcher rollers. Any feedback would be appreciated. thanks
