The only solution so far is to impose using the FP Imposer and exporting as PPML files. This sounds fine, but now it moves another step in the workflow back into the Art dept. instead of the digital dept. where a lot of times the actual run size is determined at the last minute.

Thanks InvisSoul, yes, we even tried I think it is called PDF/VT. If it is a flattened PDF it will work, but takes a huge amount of time to process. The same file works fine on our KM C7000, using CWS 5.3. Strange part is that everything worked fine until about a month ago.

If you have had the drum & developers recently replaced, you may have some clogged toner. If you have an option to "Restart" the color like on our canon, I would try that. Our Toner is a wax base and every now and then we get a batch of toner that tends to cake up and clog. Good Luck.

The main reason for going to version CWS5.3 is that it allows you to impose ppml files which really shortens the rip time for variable jobs. What used to take 1/2 hr to rip a postcard mailing, now only takes minutes.
