    Canon Prisma Prepare Issues

7.3 here. Tech does know, but can figure it out. Was trying to get PP's take on it.

    Canon Prisma Prepare Issues

Been running Prisma Prepare as a document programming and imposition for our Canon fleet for over 2 years now. In the last 6 months the application has been freezing when the production tab is selected and the machines are polled to appear in the available listing. Is anyone else having this...

Canon V1000 - Anyone have one? How is it going?

Wow, it doesn't seem like the V1000 is doing well in the wild. Of course 100% contradictory to what sales folks sale, always is.

    Canon Service

Here's your huckleberry. If you buy a machine from them they can add a very cool envelope stream feeder as well. Worth a Google. Note: I am not a customer, just jealous of the stream feeder. I did talk to a rep, seem to be pretty nice folks. https://www.dpsamerica.com/

Canon V1000 - Anyone have one? How is it going?

Our current service tech (Approved Canon Distributor) is Canon trained and has been working with me for a while now. I also have the option to buy directly through the Canon mothership. I am not necessarily worried about the service side of things, but your issues with the V900 does peak my...

Canon V1000 - Anyone have one? How is it going?

Been there and done that. I don't mind be the first in an area to have a particular machine. If the unit performs, I have actually helped service learn and adapt certain engines in the past. Definitely going to need to see the machine and test it out before I go any direction.

Canon V1000 - Anyone have one? How is it going?

Inkjet is definitely out of my price range right now. Toner is the only path forward. Have a Canon C750 with a Prisma Controller and don't mind it other than a few operational quirks, and not being true RIP for heavy variable data processing power. Fiery's have never let me down, but I also...

Xante/Ricoh vs Mach 6 Envelope Press

Mach 6 is not what you think. Had a full sample pack done. It looked ok, but still just inkjet. Cannot run any coated stock like you can on laser device. Color Match Rip available for the Mach 6 is capable, but makes the entire package very expensive and is not as tweakable as Xante color...

Canon V1000 - Anyone have one? How is it going?

Wow Wow, that is pretty interesting. I did ask my Canon tech if he had been trained on it. He said no one has, but it is planned. Doesn't seem to be a lot of them in the field despite being over a year old line. Perhaps you do have a lemon? I know there was major firmware updates to this...

Canon V1000 - Anyone have one? How is it going?

Taking a hard look at the Canon V1000 to replace my very well aged Xerox C1000i. Anyone running one of these yet?

    Which Duplo Folder

Ended up getting the Duplo DF-1300L to compliment our Morgana creaser/folder. So far very happy with the unit. Folds text weight items very well. Only con I can see is that the pre-programmed auto folds are not accurate to proper folding. It was explained that the output is a ballpark setting...

    Which Duplo Folder

We have a Morgana Creaser/Folder to handle our cover weight needs, but our MBM 352S for text weight has decided to fail after 20+ years of service. Looking at the Duplo DF-1300L and the Duplo DF-999A. Anyone have experience with these machines and give pros and cons? We do a lot of variable...

Canon C750 POD Deck Stopped Feeding Envelopes

Problem has been solved. On the C750 model there is a plate on the POD deck at the gripper of the sheet. This plate is slotted and has hash marks for adjustment and controls the pile top stop. Looks like over time the plate has moved down just ever so slightly causing the pile to be lower than...

Canon C750 POD Deck Stopped Feeding Envelopes

I access the top of the feed assembly and apply very light pressure to the feed roller rocker and I can get stable feed. I take my finger away and it jams. I did notice the air assist from the side pulses up and down during the run and that seems problematic. Anyone have experience with this?

Canon C750 POD Deck Stopped Feeding Envelopes

Clean, but could be malfunctioning. Tech seems to think the path sensor is good. Perhaps I can get him to at least swap it out with a new one. I have not swore it off yet.

Canon C750 POD Deck Stopped Feeding Envelopes

POD Deck feed tires have a locking handle on one side and can only be put on one way. I did look at the jam code history. Code is 00 019B 06. Machine is feeing maybe 4 sheets perfect, starts to feed the next sheet and either drops it or gets it in about 8 inches then stops. Driving me nuts...

Canon C750 POD Deck Stopped Feeding Envelopes

New event! Nothing feeds now from the POD. Nothing changed overnight or has been adjusted at that point. Feed carriage assembly and feed tires are new. I inspected the pickup roller during print. Gets a couple pieces through, then just spins on top of sheet. No obstructions or damaged sheet...

Used Xerox strategy - Color 1000i

Agreed! Even with a big expensive service contract, parts are disappearing, rebuilds parts are poor quality and techs are shifting focuses to newer machines. Do not buy a C1000i, you will run into the same issue as your V3100.

Canon C750 POD Deck Stopped Feeding Envelopes

Out of the blue my Canon C750 with the Extra Large POD feed deck just stopped feeding envelopes. Tech has replaced in entire feed assembly (not the drawer) and still will not feed more that just a few then stops. I open drawer and the top envelope just has a tire mark on it. Nothing horrible jam...
