    Xerox Drums issues Resolved???

Cyan toner was the only color Xerox sent me during the shortage. Black shortage 1st and then Magenta and finally Yellow became a problem to get for us. I never had to buy Cyan. Very odd distribution by Xerox.

    Xerox Drums issues Resolved???

Did you try carefully wiping the drums with a lint free cloth as another poster suggested? It worked for me on the one I tried. Haven't needed to do that since.

    Xerox Drums issues Resolved???

Our drum issues seem to have ended overnight. After 2 years of extreme partial drum life's and shortages we are now approaching full life drums with quick delivery of new ones. Same with toner. After having been forced to buy some toners on the aftermarket for a couple of months I got a delivery...

Xerox Toner Shortages-Anyone Else Having Problems?

Mine said they were the same. I just received a shipment of drums and black toners. One of my new drums went bad at 99% and another at 98%. Not looking good for the remaining 2.

    Upgrading Versant 180

We are running a V-80 that has the same issues with toner and drums and also considered the V-4100. We also decided to steer away from Xerox after 3 generations of their color machines. One of the other reasons we decided to leave them was over how they charge a large sheet click for 11x17 and...

V-80 To Not Be Supported After 2022?

Our volume is good. We here in Florida haven't had any mandates since the middle of 2020. Ownership is being driven crazy by the offset side and is looking to move more production to digital. The machine we chose has very reasonable monthly lease cost plus the added benefit of having the lowest...

V-80 To Not Be Supported After 2022?

Actually I looked at the 4100 as a replacement and according to Xerox it uses the same drums and toner. I was also just shipped a new 2nd BTR for a 2100 and there is no difference. So yes there are many similarities between the Versants.

V-80 To Not Be Supported After 2022?

I just heard from our sales rep the V-80 is to no longer be supported by Xerox after this year. He said it's a 1st generation Versant and they are in the 3rd generation. We are coming to the end of the lease on it but wanted to keep it on for envelopes, carbonless and as a backup to the flagship...

    Xerox Drums Revisited

Agreed on the service techs. They are still great. Also once upon a time the remote techs were some of the most knowledgeable and cheerful problem solving people I ever dealt with. They have all been replaced by script readers with foreign accents I barely understand.

    Xerox Drums Revisited

We are long time once loyal Xerox customers. We started with a 240 then the 700 and currently our lease is ending on our V-80. Xerox has been desperately trying to upgrade us to a 4100 or Iridesse but after 2 years of this drum nonsense along with shortages of waste toner containers and now...

Xerox Toner Shortages-Anyone Else Having Problems?

No problems getting toner for my V-80 here in Fort Lauderdale. In fact I just got an automated delivery today. However that toner is suspect because it causes drum damage and drastically shortens their lifespan. Drums are hard to get and yet I have gone through many more than normal. I have...

Ricoh 9200 & Xerox Iridesse Registration

Hello Everyone. This is my 1st post here but I've been in the business for over 40 years. We do a lot of offset work that we also foil and emboss in our letterpress department for our largest customer. We would like to upgrade our digital to be able to move some of that work from offset. We...
