Color bulk mailer Printer Advice

Hello,

We recently purchased a Xante Enpress and have been having a lot of problems with it. The color matching has been one of our biggest problems with it since we can only get our humidity to about 26% with our humidifiers running next to the machine. We were hoping to use this to add additional services than what we were able to provide with our black and white machine we had before like magnets, window clings, etc. Wondering if there is a better option out there or what people have that works really well for them. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!

We use a Xante Impressia been using for over 5 years. from day one we discovered it was only good for envelopes. We use a Canon c60 and Canon c700 for our color prints. For window clings and stickers we use a Roland printer/cutter. Also have a wide format canon printer for other needs.

We have contemplated buying an inkjet envelope printer, but so many envelopes we run are spot colors that are hard to match in process. We have a two color offset press that is always setup for #9 and #10 envelopes. Anything full color we order out if running digitally doesn't make sense.

We were an all offset shop up until 2012. Our first machine was a Xerox 560 if memory serves. You could get into a contract with a similar entry level machine for very little money. Just a thought.

Thank you! Which Roland printer/cutter do you have?

I am still amazed that not one manufacturer of 5 color machines is offering XG OGV for the 5th unit so that brand colors can be produced.

I don't have a Xante so I can't help on that front, but we had this issue recently with a Xerox machine, all kinds of issues that Xerox was blaming on humidity, and regular humidifiers could barely touch the humidity in our shop. We bought one of these, and got the humidity to stay around 40% after a few days of running it. Worth a shot if you haven't tried a humidifier of this caliber.
