Would like to know if anybody is experiencing this:
When we output a file from CS3 (Acrobat or InDesign) from an Intel G5 running any version of Leopard, the filename does not show up in the print queue on the RIP. Instead the print driver name that was used shows up. Imagine how confusing this is when trying to figure out which file is which in the queue. Files output from Quark are fine. Full filename is kept.
I called Apple, hey blame Adobe. I called Adobe, they do not offer any support for output to network devices. Go figure.
I kind of remember having a similar problem many moons ago when all files output from a particular mac were showing up in the RIP as "%%appletalk%%". I just don't remember the remedy.
Any info/advice/commiseration would be appreciated.
