Drytac Polar Grip Matte film—a long-life, self-adhesive vinyl—was put to the ultimate test during the last couple of months when graphics printed on Drytac's Polar Grip substrate were featured during an organized rowing boat race, crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Decorating the boat were striking sponsor logos that withstood the harsh ocean environment.
The 4-man team rowed a small boat 3,200 non-stop miles across the waters, from Lanzarote in the Canary Islands to the island of Antigua in the Caribbean. The Monkey Fist Atlantic Dash Extreme Endurance Challenge was dubbed the ‘Atlantic Dash. The trek took 50 days, 5 hours & 12 minutes, finally making landfall in Antigua on 2nd May 2021.
According to the event organizer, "Oceans are harsh on everything, but our sponsors—and their logos—remained solid and steadfast for the entirety of both Atlantic Dash crossings”.
The Atlantic Dash has raised more than £8,000 for two causes: HUMEN, a movement to improve and maintain men's mental health; and Dean Farm Trust, an organization committed to working for a sustainable, healthy and cruelty-free planet.
