What machine or technology do you use for film output for silk screening?
My old good Primesetter 74 is ready to die, all vendors ends up their setters. Any alternative? Plus and minuses?

Depending on your requirements we have several thermal imagesetters available with different output capabilities. The machines are available in a variety of different sizes with film output ranging from 14" to 54" wide. All of the imagesetters include a new RTI Harlequin RIP and use thermal film so they are chemistry free. You can find out more about the machines on the following page: New Film Imagesetter Oyo Thermal Imagesetters Film Positives Negatives. If you have any questions or would like to receive a set of sample films please let us know. Thank you and have a great afternoon.

An Epson 9XX0 could do it. Just need your rip configured to output at a higher resolution (I'm using 2880 x 2880) so that the black ink is dense enough so the UV light cannot pass through it. The only caveat is speed. Higher resolutions mean slower printing.
