Fujifilm’s New Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED Wide Format Printer

FUJIFILM North America has announced the new Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED Printer, Fujifilm’s entry into the high-end, wide format sign & display markets. The new press handles both rigid & flexible media, delivering work with maximum speeds of up to 2,346 ft²/hr (roll-to-roll) and resolution of up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. The printer—commercially available Q1-2023—is on demonstration at PRINTING United Expo-22—in Fujifilm’s Booth #825, North Hall.

Media Handling and Functionality Features—
  • Media loading & unloading tables with textured table surfaces to optimize the feeding & alignment of rigid media.
    • A strong catch mechanism protects against accidental damage, and secure locking allows for media feed accuracy.
  • GUI features are the same as on the Fujifilm Acuity Ultra R2, and simultaneously handles rigid media up to 6-sheets.
  • Tailored airshaft allows dual roll functionality, 2-media rolls of different diameters—each up to 14 in.—can run at the same time.
  • Intelligent vacuum control system automatically turns on the correct vacuum zones, based on media width.
    • The vacuum motor constantly adjusts to maintain optimal media hold-down, regardless of media type or size.
  • Entirely new Uvijet UH inkjet ink series—designed specifically for the Acuity Ultra Hybrid LED printer:
    • 6-colors (CMYK, Lm, Lc) are standard and white ink an option,
    • The new ink has both GREENGUARD Gold and AgBB certifications,
    • Uvijet UH has been designed to adhere to a broad range of rigid & flexible media,
    • Delivers the same high quality as the Uvijet GS & AU inks used in the Acuity Ultra R2.
