How unembed all images in Illustrator

Hi world, I have a problem.

I have a file, and this file has all images embed, and I need unembed all, but is so hard unembed one by one.

I wonder if there is a plugin or a script for this work.

I test WR-deEmbed but I can't unembed images.

Does it really extract embedded images and create linked?

Save the file as a PDF.

Then use Acrobat's Extract All Images function.

Extracting the images is not the issue. The hard part is automatically linking the extracted image to the source embedded image. Simple enough to do manually if one only has a handful of embedded images or files, painful if one is facing many images/files. Probably something that is easy enough for a script developer or plugin programmer to do but not so easy for an average user.

You can also use the Markzware (whom I represent) PDF2DTP converter: Adobe PrintPlanet Special Offer | Markzware That will take native .ai files and convert them into InDesign... okay, not the task at hand for this thread, but - it also extracts all embedded images into a folder for you.
