I have been reading PrintPlanet since its inception. I recently was engaged in an 8 person conference call and the subject of web sites and forums came up. We all agreed this is the most informative and entertaining web venue for this industry.
There is no other place with such brilliant insight, subject relevance, valued information and ignorance all rolled into one.

To all thank you.

Very true and the funny thing is, it is not so easy to know which is the good stuff and which is the not so good stuff. :)

At least this forum has been the best place to put ideas forward, get feedback and get experience obtained by many people over many years. A good place to get an idea of how people, from all over the world, think about their processes and their industry.

As time goes by, some of the controversial ideas and issues discussed here with so much enthusiasm and with such strong opinions on one side or the other, will turn out to be true or false. The Printplanet community can say that they often heard of these ideas first here and long before others in the industry.

Another aspect is that there are very few of the thousands of manufacturers who will make any official comment. Most of the manufacturers read this forum but not officially. If the manufacturers make any comments they must first asses what they have privately told customers making sure that any comments made here do not conflict which could end up being legally binding.
