KonicaMinolta 6500 vs 6501

Does anyone know the technical differences between these two models? I have been offered a new 6501 for $69,000 and a new 6500 for $58,500. That's a significant difference but if the newer model is much improved, the 6500 may not be a bargain. Both machines have the same options and configuration.

IMHO The 6501 prints slightly better than 6500. The density adjustment across the page can be alterd electronically by the user which is a god send. The dE drift of a 6501 is half that of a 6500 although, generally, drift is not a problem during a long run unless the machine is sick. Depends on your options as well, if your just getting a FS-607 and LU-202 then there isn't much in it. The other options are upgraded on the 6501 although look similar.
