Laser Power Problem

Hi ,
We are facing a problem with our Screen CTP PTR 4100.
Error Code: "E4e03 Exposure head error "and details says " excessive current in the LD drive (drive 3 board) "
if we check the Laser Power it shows that Laser Power of ch 4 is zero.
if anybody can help us how to overcome this problem?

Sounds like you have a failed diode. You need a new laser LD first. It is possible that LD is causing the board error. I've had a diode pull a complete board down. It could also be a driver board problem.

Your diode fail. you have to clean it. If not successful then just replace it.

Depending on the type of laser, the older types, you have the ability to clean the laser aperture. The final lens and head lenses should be cleaned in case. The worst case scenario is the diode has a fatal failure and cleaning wont help.
Depending on the head and lasers you could change the diodes position and see if the problem moves to a different channel or the error moves to a different driver board. (you cant just move diodes without noting special laser settings). In this case I would suggest a trained technician is used.
