Lotem 800V2 Drum Driver replacement

Hi everyone,
We experience intermittent drum speed problems with our Lotem 800V2.
I understand this is probably Drum Driver related.
The particular card in our machine carries part number 503-00257C-B.
We received a 2nd hand replacement board which carries a different number namely: 503C2L599M-B.
Since the part numbers differ, I am looking for advice: is there a risk involved in a trial replacement?
Any input will be appreciated.
TIA

You should be OK with replacing the ELMO ( Drum Driver) with 503C2L599.BUT your problem can be with the MCF board 503C2L166P.
Send me a private message as I might have others ways to help you.

Thanks, but:

What is the correct firmware level in my situation?

How can I find the firmware level?

Is it the last letter in the part number (the letter "B" on both cards)?

Just replace it. There is no firmware involved with the ELMO. It looks like you have a newer part tere.

Great,

So now I shall replace the old card with the "NEW" one and hope the problems disappear.

Many Thanks, Pach.

Unfortunately, the replacement failed totally, the drum didn't rotate at all, showing this error screen: Drum_Problem_SCRN_.jpg

Does this mean that the "new" board is faulty?

Any ideas?

TIA

If the Lotem worked before, even with an intermitent problem, it means that the replacement is faulty.

Pach,

I am grateful for your help.

Now I will again be looking for a reasonably priced driver.

Does anyone have electronic diagrams for any of these Drum Drivers?

I believe there would be a good chance for these boards to be fixed.

Does anyone know if these were designed internally at Scitex or out-sourced?

...wishful thinking, probably.
