Paper wrapping around blanket on AB Dick 9810?

I've got a new pressman (who's also my husband, bless his heart!) who took over when our last pressman walked out.... He's very mechanically inclined and has worked as a graphic artist for several years. He's pretty much self taught on the press and has been running it for a couple of months now.

But. (Always, there's a but, right?!)

Our biggest job is ran on 40# Accent paper. (It's the really thin stuff, not the heavier than 20# stuff.)

He's having an issue with the paper getting wrapped around the blanket. Anyone got any ideas of what to look for?!

Thanks!

It is a gripper adjustment problem, both cylinder and chain. The grippers are not closing down tightly enough on the thin stock.

Try increasing your buckle setting to the highest number. (allen wrench under the fly wheel). If you are printing solids you will have to clean your blanket and let it dry then feed into the job. 40 lb offset is a problem no matter which press you print it on. Reduce your ink tack as much as you can without the ink toning or scumming. What kind of dampening system are you running?
