The Pre-Sales Engineer's primary responsibility is to provide product demonstrations to customers and prospective customers.
A solid knowledge of the company's offerings and our software product capabilities is critical. A technical background in the printing industry is essential.
Specifically, you must have the ability to estimate digital, large format and offset jobs. In addition, the candidate must have a deep knowledge of both the business and production workflows of a printing organization.
A suitable candidate must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users through demonstrations and proof of concepts.
The Pre-Sales Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the entire sales cycle.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain the Sales Demo Data base
* Develop and deliver software product demonstrations
* Present the product to customers and prospects. Including;
 On-line demos
 Events and conferences
 On-Site
* Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
* Communicate customer requirements to Product Management teams
* Support proof of concepts, evaluations, and pilot projects
* Deliver product training to new clients and business partners, when necessary
* Travel 25% - 40% of your time.
Qualifications:
> Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a strong desire and ability to learn.
> Candidate must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in verbal and written responses to emails, RFIs, etc.
> The successful candidate must be organized and analytical, with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
> Candidate must have experience demonstrating Print MIS software solutions to prospective buyers.
> Candidate must be willing to participate on consulting engagements, as necessary.
* 5+ years relevant experience in software pre-sales
* Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Communications Management
* Strong communication/presentation skills
