manroland Inc., a world leader in sheetfed press technology as a solutions provider, is currently seeking an experienced technical sales professional to join our North American operation representing manroland in the greater Western US. The primary focus of this role is to call on current manroland customers in a technical consultant role with the goal of maintaining or improving operation performance through the manroland established portfolio of support offerings and consumables line. This role will focus on a technical consultative approach with customers and requires a sound understanding of sheetfed offset manufacturing.
The individual will be responsible for after sales customer relationships and must establish contact at all levels of customer organizations. The individual must speak in a technical voice and have the business acumen to adapt to each customer facility depending on the type and audience of the sales call. Candidate must posses skillset for presenting proposals on performance improvement upgrade programs or machine upgrade products at all levels of audience.
Additionally, in this role the individual would also assist in new equipment sales by showing the companies strength in after sales support and total equipment lifecycle support. In conjunction with new equipment sales representatives the technical consultant role will align relationships with applicable decision makers, assist in responding to requests for information from prospects, prepare proposals, analyze territory trends, and maintain current customer records.
Candidates must possess high energy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong business acumen, organizational skills and a proven sales record with decision makers.
We seek a successful sales professional in this role with a practical industry experience, willing to travel extensively in their territories, who has effective interpersonal skills, strong planning and organization skills, good problem solving abilities and a proven ability to prioritize work to achieve sales targets under deadlines. Prior operations or manufacturing experience is a plus.
