CGS is the worldwide leader in developing software for the printing industry.
With our rapid growth in the packaging, label, and brand owner customer base, we are looking for a Regional Sales professional located in Minneapolis, MN. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the main objectives of the Central Regional Sales Manager are to build and develop customer and dealer relationships and drive sales growth in the territory.
Responsibilities include:
• Meet and exceed sales targets in assigned territories or vertical segments
• Prospect and develop new business opportunities outside traditional markets
• Pursue, negotiate and construct appropriate terms of sales. Identify all details in the order process to ensure eventual smooth installation/delivery on-site
• Ensure sales leads are systematically followed up after trade shows, road shows & other marketing events
• Collaborate with cross departmental teams within the organization to develop successful sales strategies - either directly with customers or with strategic partners with the objective of driving growth
• Plan & organize promotional events in collaboration with other departmental teams
• Provide feedback to marketing team and or management on competitive price situations and competitor’s position in the market
• Generate proposals through Salesforce.com system to ensure database is updated with the most current information
• Ensure accuracy of sales forecasting through weekly reviews and updates
Qualifications & Professional Knowledge:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
• Relevant sales experience in the Graphic Arts/Printing industries – particularly, selling Software Solutions to the Printing or Packaging industry
• Proven solutions sales experience in packaging and print process within the industries
• Solid understanding of Packaging, Commercial and Wide format printing, and Brand owner markets
• Experience with Flexo/Offset Packaging & Digital printing technologies
• Wide network of contacts within the Graphic Arts/Printing industries
Competencies:
• Qualifications above, plus a passion for sales and hunter personality
• Proven selling and negotiation skills
• Commercially astute with sufficient finance and market knowledge, and ability to apply pragmatic commercial approaches in sales negotiations & closing
• Organized and systematic in following up on leads
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multi-channel/level relationships
