Wow, the 900 has been out for about 5 minutes. As an owner I would hope the mods are retrofit!

Different Toner being used. Wont be a retrofit, but then again, not many features the C900 lacks.

Hi all,

Improved fusing process combined with wax toner will give the operator lots of possibilities with lots of different media types. Improved duplex unit now stands for 300 gsm duplex. All this and still 90 ppm...

If you have the volume (ideally 50-150K per month) than the PROC901 will be a very strong candidate.

Kind regards,

This sounds very promising indeed. It might be worth a look for digital publishers.

Depends on the type of work and your volumes.

Volumes between 30k - 150K are very suited for PRO C901, which is a very productive machine and has shown great print quality so far.

You would want to buy the Xerox 800/1000 if you are already a Xerox customer and not able to get rid of them..:)

The KN C8000 might be an option. They do seem to have troubles getting the machine in field (because of technical issues?) however.

The C901 at an average monthly duty cycle of 350k per month (which is significantly higher than the C900). It's maximum duty cycle is 580,000.

If you are printing volumes over 200K per month I would very much advise a second unit. The volumes make up for the extra investment.
