RIT’s new AMPrint Center gets Director
RIT has named former Kodak scientist Bruce Kahn as its director of business development for their Advanced Technology for Additive Manufacturing and Multifunctional Printing center–aka: AMPrint Center. He has a Ph.D. in chemistry and began his career at Kodak in 1989 as a research scientist. Kahn was part of the RIT faculty from 1998 to 2005 and developed a research program on printing techniques and materials for the fabrication of electronic devices. At RIT, Kahn’s new research will focus on integrating multiple materials such as metal, plastics and ceramics.
One of the first 3D printing centers, the AMPrint Center brings together researchers to advance printing and imaging. With more than 15 years experience in printed electronics, chemistry and materials science, Kahn will advance economic development opportunities in multifunctional printing. In this role, Kahn will seek new business opportunities and coordinate research and development initiatives for established and start-up companies involved in additive manufacturing technologies across the state. https://www.rit.edu/news/story.php?id=57879
