JOB POSITIONS SUMMARY
Responsible for directing daily operations of the company. Provide leadership and direction for all manufacturing departments as well as customer service, estimating and scheduling. Serve as a member of the executive management team and in this capacity participate in the overall management of MOSAIC, including short and long range strategic planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Recommends and executes company goals, objectives, and strategies in consultation with the CEO and Executive Team.
• Directs and establishes policies and procedures.
• Determine the most efficient and cost effective way of performing various operations.
• Compile and analyze data and coordinate implementation of necessary changes.
• Evaluate production and material standards for control of labor, materials and workflow. Set up complete reporting and control systems in which standards will be used.
• Interface with customers as needed.
• Participate in the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
• Evaluates, develops and recommends technical advancements in procedures, processes, and equipment.
• Manage all Quality Assurance functions to maintain minimum defects and exceptional quality.
• Maintain safety throughout the company, recommending and implementing changes when appropriate.
• Lead, train, mentor and motivate direct reports.
• Appraise performances of staff against position responsibilities, established goals, and standards.
• Oversee the prioritization, scheduling and delegating of work within Prepress, Digital, Press, Finishing, Shipping, Customer Service, and Estimating/Planning departments.
• Develop and implement training programs to upgrade the skills of all employees.
• Recommend and initiate cost reduction programs.
• Manage and continually work to improve the process and quality controls of the Quality Management System.
• Maintain budgetary goals.
• Work closely with the Human Resource Manager on employee issues, including but not limited to: hiring, disciplinary, promotion and termination issues.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Ten or more years of a management role within the Printing Industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience utilizing MIS systems. EFI Pace experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001 policies and procedures, or Quality Assurance programs preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• UV experience preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Team-oriented management style with excellent people management and leadership skills.
• Good planning and problem solving skills with proven track record in achieving results.
• Demonstrated innovation, creativity and decision making abilities.
• Great work ethic, great attitude, and a commitment to being the best.
