Topsetter issue

crashtest

Hello, I am not new to the forum but first time posting. We are having issues with Heidelberg Topsetter P74 (Screen 4300). We have really tiny lines across the plate. Attached you can see printed image on a paper. The problem exist even on internal tests of the CTP. I will be glad if anyone had a similar issue and could give me some clues, where to search for problem.

Thanks in advanced!

Did you work correctly with these plates until now ? Did the problem appear suddenly ? Is it permanent or coming and going ?

Laser. How long since last service?
Probably dirty lense.
YMMV.

Hello, Thank you for your answers and sorry for my late response. The problem is permanent and exist on both positive and negative plates. All diodes are ok - only 3500 hours and the calibration goes smooth. Tried to change the data cable from the head to the RB31 board, after that changed RB31 board with SPX32 board and the problem still exist. You mean dirty lens from the inside? Thanks in advance!

I assume the lines are horizontal, as you said "across the plate". In the past I've only seen series of 1 pixel dots across the plate, not solid lines, it turned out to be a damaged RB31. Your problem looks like an electrical failure has nothing to do with optics cleanliness IMHO as lines are not vertical we're not talking about zoom problem here.
1. Run a grid test and check the lines with a usb microscope, then post the images here mentioning the fast and slow scan directions. 2. Are the lines same thickness and consistent on entire plate area ? 3. Did you try to restore the machine data, do you have some valid backups available ? 4. Do the lines show up as white lines inside image area regardless of plate type pos vs. negative ?
