well, if none of the steps are taken, the worst case scenario is logically where you are today.
If the plate errors out at the same location(s) all the time, it does look like a cable issue. Perhaps reseating them, or giving them more slack will let the problem go away.
You can also mask the error, and see if anything noticeable happens.
try masking the error fault. This will allow a plot to complete, regardless of stroke clock or IMAGING signal problems.
• Thermal module 4.29 or EHI 2.15 or later, type:
>> set head maskflt 1
• MPE firmware using an earlier thermal module, type:
>> mask range
>> set head r4 1
5. To re-enable error checking, set maskflt/r4 back to 0.
6. If you have masked the fault, run several quality-control plots and examine them carefully for visible artifacts. Following masking, closely monitor the site for quality.
