Well-known member
Hi PrintPlanet folk;
I just upgraded to system 10.6.8 on my mac and I cannot figure out how to re-setup the printers.
Could someone step-by-step it for me?
Thanks in advance...

Peace to the PrintPlanet!

Proof read before posting: your headline says 10.8.6, but your text says 10.6.8. Are you talking about Snow Leopard?

System Preferences/Print & Fax, then add printer. You highlight the devices in the selection window and follow the dialog. More detailed help at Apple.com.

Thank you! I will check it out.
Keep in mind that OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) does not have AppleTalk. So if you have printers that require AppleTalk, you will need to set up an older system running an OS prior to 10.6.8 to use for print sharing with your current system.

Color Optimized?

by Noel Ward, Editor@Large
Color is in demand in all types of documents, making color management a critical part of Digital Printing 5.0. Managing color on one device/press can be an easy task with the correct tools and processes. But managing color to ensure printed pages are consistent and repeatable across the different substrates and color gamuts of toner and inkjet can be a much bigger challenge. Properly implemented color management workflows can help achieve consistent color results across multiple devices. Although many end-customers are claiming satisfaction with “pleasing color,” two challenges are still in play. Link to Article
