Varnish plate storage

We are packaging printer and we use a lot of polymer varnish plates (cut by hand or sample plotter). Currently we store them laying on the shelves, which I find impractical.
Looking for some solution to hang these plates.

What do you use?

Thanks, Janez

The best method is to hang them on hooks. We use a lot of photopolymer plates, and have a very good method of organizing them so they are much easier to find. First, we cut a piece of cardboard twice the size of the measurement from gripper to tail. We then fold that cardboard in half so an envelope is created. We take a printed sheet and tape it to the outside of the box for easy recognition. Additionally, we adhere a sticker to the outside of the box with the date, job number, and customer. Finally, we hang all of these cardboard envelopes on hooks and organize them according to the customer.

The benefits of this process is when the pressmen are ready to setup the job, they do not have to waste valuable production time looking for the plate. Make sure that all plates are fully cleaned and dried to prevent the cardboard from sticking to the plate.
