Not with the GS3250, but the GS3200 and now the HS100 pro. To compare those two machines, I can say this, the speed is amazing, and the expanded gamut is great on the HS100 pro versus the GS. The downside is it is very finicky, and we’ve had a ton more service calls to Vutek then we ever had with the GS. You leave the HS idle for a few hours, got to purge and clean, whereas the GS seemed like it could stay idle much longer without having to do so. You really could beat up the GS, and it would still be kicking, versus the HS you need to handle with kid gloves (literally).
We’ve also had more train tracking issues with large solid colors on the HS and not just in the Grayscale mode – an issue we are still struggling with getting sorted out, and one that Vutek is very wishy-washy in why it pops up. We would have it to an acceptable level, then boom, they replace a jet, or the onboard controller software gets upgraded, and we are back to square one. Also issues with the Magenta ink currently – keeps dropping out, even with new jets. That is also another issue that Vutek is working on that we are dealing with.
The hybrid functionality is better on the HS though, and so is the white ink functionality.
