What are good web sites for prepress/workflow people to look at...

The chief thing I'm looking for is web sites written up by prepress people, not sites written up by people belonging to other... um... tribes. Like:

I've always found PrePressure a great resource, Laurens has started to update it again also

Google it, it always helped me. Got me to some great prepress related sites.

Try something like:
[Google Search|http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&q=General+Prepress+Things+forum&btnG=Search]

It should get you in a general direction of other sites that relate to prepress and forums are always a good area for actual discussion of real life experiences.

Google is a great idea. Looking for prepress/workflow you might try something like this:

[Google Search|http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&q=prepress+and+workflow+forum&btnG=Search]

This string might be a bit more useful as it yields more results and is a bit more targeted to what you asked. To determine which site might have more relevant information once you find them, see how many pages are indexed by using the following google search: "site:domain", replacing domain with the actual site URL. Some sites only have a few indexed pages of actual real life experience discussion while others have thousands.

The printshop where I started as a Speedmaster SM-102 feeder had all the prepress people signed up for them through the company's corporate account. That seems like a nice perk, since the subscription sells now for $300 per year.

There are some fairly descent web modules showing up on youtube right now. I search through common software names or simply "prepress." Many of them are hit and miss, but there are a few good ones. The Prepress Training Solution modules are more organized and thorough, imho.
